Tobermory / Ledaig
Tobermory / Ledaig Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Tobermory is more than just a distillery — it’s the beating heart of whisky-making on the Isle of Mull. Founded in 1798, it’s the island’s only distillery and one of Scotland’s oldest. Nestled within the colourful harbour town that shares its name, Tobermory Distillery has weathered many storms, always returning with renewed spirit.
After a two-year renovation completed in 2019, we reopened with a focus on sustainability and efficiency — blending heritage with innovation. Framed by dramatic landscapes and a creative community, the distillery reflects the island’s resilience and artistic soul. Here, whisky is more than a craft; it’s a reflection of Mull itself — wild, beautiful, and full of character.
Every bottle we produce captures this spirit, honouring the people, nature, and culture that inspire us daily.

For over two centuries, Tobermory has crafted small-batch single malts that reflect the untamed beauty of the Isle of Mull. Using pure water from the Gearr Abhainn and traditional methods, we produce two distinct expressions: Tobermory, our unpeated, fruity and vibrant single malt, and Ledaig, our boldly peated, smoky and elemental whisky.
Though both are born from the same stills, their characters couldn’t be more different — a testament to the island’s contrasts and the influence of nature in every drop. Each bottle is non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, staying true to our commitment to quality and authenticity.
Beyond whisky, we also craft award-winning gin, infused with botanicals foraged across Mull’s wild landscape. Whether in a dram or a pour, everything we make is inspired by the island we call home — spirited, rugged, and alive with flavour.
