Bunnahabhain
Bunnahabhain Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Since 1881, Bunnahabhain {pronounced Bunn-na-ha-venn} has stood proudly on the remote northeastern shore of Islay, where sea spray and salt air shape every cask. Once accessible only by boat, our distillery remains a hidden gem, reached today by a winding single-track road that mirrors the journey of discovery our whisky invites.
Unlike many Islay malts, Bunnahabhain is defined not by smoke, but by subtlety and elegance. We craft our whisky with a deep respect for tradition, maturing it in hand-selected sherry casks without the use of chill filtration or added colour.
Every expression is a true reflection of its origins—rich, complex, and deeply rewarding. Our commitment to authenticity and quality has earned Bunnahabhain global acclaim, making it a beloved choice among collectors and connoisseurs alike. From our windswept coastal home, we continue to honour the legacy of craftsmanship that defines our spirit—timeless, bold, and unmistakably Bunnahabhain.

Bunnahabhain is celebrated for its signature unpeated, sherried style—a bold departure from Islay tradition that defines our single malt. Crafted with pure spring water from the Margadale River, our whisky is known for its rich, creamy texture and deep sherry cask influence, revealing layers of dried fruit, roasted nuts, and a gentle coastal character.
The beloved 12 Year Old leads our core range, embodying balance and complexity, while the indulgent 18 and 25 Year Old expressions offer even greater depth and refinement. Limited editions and cask strength releases expand this profile, each highlighting bold flavour and maritime influence. Every whisky is non-chill filtered with no added colour, preserving the true essence of the spirit. Rooted in tradition yet distinct in style, Bunnahabhain stands as the unpeated, sherried Islay single malt—crafted with character, care, and a deep sense of place.
